The second Vietnam Trail Care Day of 2005 was a tremendous success.

On a fine, crisp fall day, 25 motivated trail builders took time away from riding to work on the trail we started earlier this year. It was a great family event with kids, dogs, pizza, and plenty of rocks to move.

We improved the Lombard St. section of the trail with a brand new berm. We also rerouted the lower section to improve the flow coming into the jump-line.

Another project that we completed was the transition and berm after the first jump/roller of the jump-line. This improved the flow into the second jump.

We added a new drop to the right of the existing chute (between the half pipe and Lombard St.). This included a new transition landing and a rock kicker.

XC riders should also enjoy the new flow of the trail. All of the technical trail features still have bail lines for those who prefer to keep the rubber on the dirt.

We ended work around 3:00 and a few of us made it to Cornellís Pub for a post-work drink. Thanks again to all who came out to help, and a special thanks to Cornellís Pub in Hopkinton for providing parking for the event.

Hope you all get some time soon to enjoy the trail!
