New England Trail Builders' School, Hodges Dam, Oxford

On May 21-22, mt bikers and trail builders from all across New England gathered in Blackstone Valley's own backyard for a weekend of hard work and hard play learning trail building and maintenance techniques from recent MTB Hall of Famer, Kurt Loheit, IMBA/Subaru Trail Care Crew, Jill Van Winkle and Chris Bernhard, and NEMBA's own trail experts, Tom Grimble, Paul Peaslee and Mike Tabaczynski.

Organized by NEMBA's Executive Director, Philip Keyes, the event drew people from all the New England states who either commuted or camped out for the weekend. BV NEMBA was well represented with attendees: chapter president Rich Kordell, Norm Street, Dave Grybowski, Andy Thompson, Dave Riding, and members of the Vietnam Land Management Committee Mitchell Steinberg, John Vosburg, and Dave Mitchell.

With the blessing of the Army Corps of Engineers and Hodges Village land managers, participants put their classroom learning to good use by building a 1/4 mile of new trail, a wooden bridge, and a rock stunt.
