April 28, 2003 - Womens’ Skills Clinic a Success

On April 28, 2003, Team Bike Alley racers Lydia Barter, Andy Fitzgerald and Anne Shepard led our 2nd Annual Women’s Skills Clinic at Hodges Village in Oxford. 15 riders attended and learned about braking, crossing logs, balance, descending, and trail etiquette.  The riders comprised various skill levels, so we split into 2 groups for novices and intermediates.  After 2 hours of practice on technical sections scattered throughout the trails, everyone developed a solid base of confidence and enthusiasm.  Thanks to Lydia, Andy, Anne, and our event coordinator, Rich Kordell, for helping these riders get a great start on the season!
